Cheered by the press, rewarded by the professionals and the audience, the album " Gipsy project " published in October, 2001 has been unanimously plebisited.

This album had been elected " best album of the month " by Guitarist and Guitar & bass
Moreover, during the ceremonial of the Django d'or in April 2002, Biréli Lagrène received the reward of the " best musician of the French Jazz for the year of 2001 and the reward from the audience for his album Gipsy Project.

On top of all this success Biréli has shined in all the summer festivals (Montréal, Montreux, Vienne….) where each performance had been a real triumph.
